Kirstin Gorey


Kirstin started working in a Veterinary practice in 1998 and started her Veterinary Nurse training in 2000, qualifying in 2003. She joined the Animac team at the opening of the Southside practice. She joins us from another vets in Edinburgh where she worked for 16 years and was the Head Nurse.

She has a keen interest in radiography and also loves getting to know clients and their furry friends!

In her spare time, she is a keen amateur photographer, and along with her husband, spends weekends finding new places and wildlife to photograph. She is also a keen sports fan and follows a variety of sports.



Lissi Friedman-Foley
Lissi's working life has previously been spent in the hospitality industry managing restaurants in London where she was born and grew up. She left London in 2016 for a new life in Spain where she lived for 2 years working in a rural village restaurant and helping to rear baby goats. Having a love of nature and the great outdoors, Lissi moved to Scotland in October 2018, joining Animac Vets as our full time receptionist in January 2019. Lissi is passionate about all creatures large and small and has loved moving to an industry focused on the well being of our furry friends.

In her spare time she loves hiking in the wilderness, spending time with her family & friends, going to see live music and generally enjoying life.


Kirsten Ogilvie


Kirsten joined in August 2012 as the practice manager.

She started nursing in 1988 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1990. She worked in several practices around the country, including working with a dental specialist and being a Head Nurse, before leaving nursing in 2001 to work for a veterinary practice management computer software company, where she worked for the next 11 years. She enjoys being back in practice again and getting to know the clients and their animals.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, especially jazz, photography, gardening, vintage clothing and is passionate about environmental and health issues, with a special interest in herbal medicine.
